The Ecole de Commerce Solvay Foundation is the financial body responsible for managing funds donated by patrons and has the statute of an internal foundation within the ULB. Its purpose is to raise funds from companies and alumni in order to develop teaching and research into management sciences. The Council of the Ecole de Commerce Solvay Foundation is composed of SBS Professors, Members of the Faculty Council, the Rector and President of the University, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Political and Social Sciences and a representative of the SBS Alumnis.

Since the launch of the Fund Raising Campaign by Philippe Biltiau and Baron Daniel Janssen in 2002, the entirety of the donations received, as well as the financing of the various Chairs of the School, have been managed by the Ecole de Commerce Solvay Foundation.
