Previously known as the DES in Public Management (DESMAP) or the Master in Public Management (MMP), the Executive Master in Public Management offers benchmark on-going management training in the public management. Intended for all those who manage the public interest, the timetable is staggered and is based on active and applied pedagogy. The course aims to provide participants with the technical and human competencies needed to approach the reality of their projects for society.
It has been developed for managers at all levels in public services, semi-public organizations and public companies, non-market organizations and private companies in which the state is a privileged partner.

c. Public Management
Programme (PUMP)
The Public Management Programme is
designed to provide sabbatical training
for civil servants of Level 1. The
Belgian Federal Government has undertaken
a modernisation programme with a
view to providing citizens with improved
services and performance. Experience
gained in other countries has shown
that such an ambitious programme
necessitates the implication of everyone
concerned, beginning with the civil
servants themselves. The purpose
of this course is to contribute to
this huge effort of modernisation,
through the provision of knowledge,
competences and the appropriate attitudes
required to modernise the Federal
Administration.

d. DES in Local
Development
This Diploma in Specialised Studies
trains future civil servants responsible
for managing local development and
those involved in the development
process, as well as the management
of internal processes.
The fields of training
include: governance and the value
of local development, the strategic
approach, local project management,
regional and European aid, evaluation
methods for people and projects,
communication circuits and marketing,
local decision-making processes,
tools for town and country planning
and the environment.
This course provides
a systematic and horizontal vision
of subjects required in the process
of local development.
