b. Sport Business Management (BESMaC)

Sport management requires increasingly specialised expertise from its managers and executives and it was with this in mind that the Solvay Business School launched the Brussels European Sport Management Center (BESMaC) in March 2004. Together with international experts in the field and thanks to national and international synergies, BESMaC has put its own knowledge and expertise at the service of sports management and managers. BESMaC’s mission is to provide postgraduate training, as well as seminars, market research and economic impact studies.

c. MMISS

The ULB School of Public Health and the Solvay Business School have jointly created a course in health management, which brings together the ethical and therapeutic requirements and the management, financial and organisational constraints of modern medicine. The programme offers current and future managers in the health sector the opportunity to define the function of health institutions in their commercial and non-commercial aspects; to analyse the mechanisms of operation and regulation; to gain training in dedicated accounting methods and auditing; to position health institutions within the current social, political, economic and institutional environment; to describe the development of external constraints and how to optimise them; to evaluate the efficiency, efficacy and quality of health care production and to improve negotiation and GRH in the sector.
