The Executive Master in IT Governance (EMG) is an in-depth study of 186hrs composed of four thre-days seminars and optional modules.
There are four core modules, each delivered over three full days. Emphasis is
placed in equal measure on participants’ personal development as leaders and on deepening
technical and sector-specific knowledge and skills to keep pace with industry.
Participants are allowed to develop their competencies gradually, to exchange best
practices and learn from high-level discussions with peers about real-life situations. The
third day of each module consists of a practical workshop during which participants
present specific examples of IT Governance implementation in their own organisation.
The four core modules - identical than for EPG - are:
C1 - Principles & implementation
A review of IT Governance domains of knowledge as expressed in research, publications, international practices and surveys, as well as in the job practice areas defined by the Certificate for the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) from the ISACA.

C2 - IT Governance implementation workshop
Participants are grouped in teams of two or three for a two-day hands-on workshop. The assignment consists of developing an implementation plan for an IT Governance initiative to improve the management, control and governance of IT Outsourcing based an extensive case study. An assessment report and an action list is produced and presented by each team, and then reviewed.

C3 - Leading through identity
management strategies
Defining leadership, not as what a leader does, but rather as a process that creates or is the result of relationships between a leader and follower(s). Developing competencies that involve action rather than just knowled-ge accumulation. Participants learn what is most relevant for them with regards to their own capacity to exercise leadership.

C4 - Strategy Management
A fresh look at key aspects, schools of thought and concepts of strategic ma-nagement: participants are challen-ged to think strategically and look at markets, clients, sectors, com-petitors and their organization from a strategic perspective. The meaning of strategic management is illustrated through external case study discus-sions, group work and own examples brought by the participants in order to create a dialogue about the strategic impli-cations for ICT managers and CIOs. It also facilitates IT Alignment.
