The second year stresses security,
where the accent is placed on both
managerial and technical areas of
interest. On the managerial side,
focus is given to the procedures,
standards and policies as well as
the management of project-related
security implementations. Governance,
awareness, certification and risk-assessment
issues are addressed.
On the technical side, telecommunication
labs offer the participant a hands-on
experience in implementing computer
networks with firewalls. Experts share
their experience in implementing Public
Key Infrastructure and e-Business
operations. Knowledge of major operating
systems and their vulnerabilities
are also addressed.

Telecom and Network Management, Practice
and Audit (30 hours)
Basic and
advanced knowledge and practice in
telecoms and networks.

Security Technology
(30 hours)
The
knowledge requirements for information
systems security professionals are
presented by industry experts. Course
material is based on the topics of
the common body of knowledge required
for CISSP certification (Certified
Information Systems Security Professional).
This module is organised in cooperation
with the Brussels European Chapter
of the Information Systems Security
Association.

Applications and e-Business Management and Security ( 30 hours)
Basic principles for the development of Applications and e-Business systems. The modules addresses security issues, implementation methodologies, presentation of usual technical platforms.

Security Management and Standards
(30 hours)
Security management
is reviewed and presented by industry
specialists, on the basis of knowledge
required to qualify as Certified Information
Security Manager (CISM). This module
is organised in cooperation with the
Belgo-Luxembourg Chapter of the Information
Systems Audit & Control Association.
