On his recent visit to Brussels, Franjo Majstor lectured on the module B2 (Information Security technology) in relation to telecommunication F. Majstornetwork and Internet Security. Franjo is a CISSP accredited instructor for (ISC)2 where he participates in lecturing of CBK (Common Body of Knowledge) review sessions. He is a regular contributor to an “Information Security Management Handbook” series edited by Hal Tipton, that are considered as a reference for CISSP’s around the world. Franjo gave his contribution on several topics, included SAN Security, WLAN Security, Crypto as well as Modern Network Access Control. Franjo mentors the module B2 since 2004 and has regularly managed to keep this module B2 of the Executive Master in ICT Audit and Security, on the forefront of information security knowledge for professionals and technical experts.Annick Loks

Annick Loks is the module coordinator for module B2. She is involved in module coordination and lecturing at Solvay Business School since 2003. Annick had graduated from the same education and is Head of Information Risk Management at ING South West Europe .

Georges AtayaISACA and ITGI will hold their Annual Meeting on Monday, 28 July 2008, at the Sheraton Centre Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. the Nominating Committee proposed a series of names for the membership to the Board of Directors 2008-2009. Professor Georges Ataya is proposed as an International Vice president for the coming year. Georges Ataya has been an active member of the ITGI Board and was involved in various international activities including:
- membership of the VALIT Steering committee (a second edition of VALIT is due in the coming month),
- chair of the Knowledge Task Force (a glossary and a taxonomy is under preparation and may become a defacto worldwide reference),
- Chair of the New Web Task Force (the new ISACA web shall constitute a major breakthrough bringing members and visitors to the web 2.0 world)
- Advocate for a wider reach of ITGI and ISACA membership to IT and IT Governance professionals

From July until October 2007 a survey reaching members of the C-suite was conducted to determine their sense of priority and actions,Global Survey 2008 as well as tools and services needed, relative to IT governance. Professor Georges Ataya, from Solvay Business School has participated in developing the questions for this third consecutive undertaking of this IT governance research project. Solvay Business School has signed in 2006 an affiliation agreement with the IT Governance Institute.

The participants of the IT Management Education at Solvay Business School have conducted a survey in 2006 to assess IT Governance within a sample of Belgian enterprises and in 2007 survey on Value Governance in Belgium.

Composed of five industry leaders in the field of financial-transaction processing, namely Atos Worldline, Euroclear, Fin-Force, SWIFT and the Bank of New York Mellon (Brussels Office), TransConstellation aims to strengthen and promote Belgium as a centre of excellence in financial-transaction processing. TransConstellation recently unveiled a novel approach for financial-services companies to assess and improve operational risk management, a key area of concern for regulators, particularly during turbulent capital markets.
