Throughout their studies all of the students studying at the Solvay Business School take language courses. Jointly organised with the “Cellule Langues” of the ULB, these courses set out to provide students with total command of written and spoken French, Dutch and English. The courses are obligatory in all three languages, except in very special cases.
Students who have not learnt Dutch at secondary school take German, instead of Dutch courses.

As of the third year, some lectures are given in English and Dutch. The exams relating to such courses are also, of course, in the same language. Most of the lectures in Dutch are given by the Faculty of Economics, Social and Political Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Students who have been exempted from Dutch can choose to follow these courses exclusively in English.

At the end of BA3 you are expected to achieve level C1 (Council of Europe Reference Scale).
