To ensure that you are working toward the right job with a clear goal and a strategy that will work for you, the MBA offers you the opportunity to take part in a complete Career Advancement Programme.

The CAP Team, composed of six members, will assist you in your personal development throughout the year by providing you with practical guidance for approaching the job market.

What Is Career Advancement?

  • Staying in the same career but moving to a better position, a better company, or a new location
  • Changing sector in which you work eg private practice to employed, employed to entrepreneurial
  • Changing career to a new area of expertise eg from technical to management, from banking to marketing, from real estate to banking
  • Changing profession and lifestyle

Rationale

  • The MBA reputation and value depends in part on career successes of its graduates
  • The MBA is used to switch career tracks and ‘reposition’ for the job market
  • Need to keep pace with the current international job market
  • Effective career and placement service is required for accreditations and rankings
  • Our internal strategic goal: ‘80 per cent candidates have suitable job offer within 6 months of graduating and are satisfied and succeeding after one year in their jobs’

CAP Structure

CAP is structured in two parts to meet the needs of candidates, employers and the MBA Corporate Council.
