"Owens Corning has participated in the BFP program for the last 2 years. We have found it a very enjoyable and positive experience: the BFP program gave us the opportunity to get analyses and advice from teams of diverse and talented students, all that in a friendly and fun atmosphere. We also valued this opportunity to present our company and our challenges to students and professors, hopefully helping us solve issues and attract new talent more easily in the future."

The Business Field Project (BFP) brings companies a highly motivated team of Solvay MBA students to carry out a challenging strategic or operational project. Projects can be diverse in subject such as business strategy, organization, new market entry, value chain management, etc.
A BFP can bring immediate added-value to companies, by providing:
- a fresh and unbiased perspective on significant business issues, strategic opportunities or organizational and operational challenges
- cutting-edge recommendations from MBA students with diverse educational backgrounds, business skills and international experiences,* supervised by an SBS faculty member with a large experience in various business sectors
- exposure to the latest application of business techniques, theories and practices applied by students eager to deliver professional results
- an opportunity to evaluate new high-potential recruits in real-life situation.
Teams of 3 to 4 students will be assigned per project to provide an optimal combination of business skills, bearing in mind students interests and backgrounds. Each student is expected to dedicate approximately 100 hours of work to their project, representing around 40 man-days in total for the project.
"The team of 4 MBA students were very motivated and worked well as a team. Around the subject matter chosen they provided a good synthesis of the status of the regulatory and business environement while pointing to areas needing action and focus. The project has helped raise the awareness of the regulatory developments around the subject matter and solidify the cross-border team process within the Bank's organisation."
