"Sport has become a true economic sector, which requires a specific managerial approach".

This pole of excellence, located wihin the SBS, proposes research, training and publication activities.

There will be three main areas :

  • Executive education
  • Market/Economic impact studies
  • Change management

BESMaC's target is threefold:

  • To establish, conceptualise and test response models for the different complex problems outlined above (fundamental research)
  • To find concrete solutions to those problems regulary encountred by companies and public bodies (study/applied research)
  • Raise awareness, inform and train students, players in sports administration or organisations and companies to face their current and future situations (training/learning tools/publication).

At the BESMaC you’ll benefit from the access to new resources to :

  • Get the information you need
  • Be in contact with resource persons in Belgium and abroad
  • Look for contacts in touch with your passion within Belgian and international sports governing bodies
  • Get the advices you need to choose your dissertation subject or your seminar works
  • Choose the traineeship that suits you best within the selected ones in Belgium and abroad
  • Find a way that suits you to access scholarships or researches grants

 

The Centre for Olympic Studies

 

In order to easily find the sources for your research work, from now you have access to one of the most well-stocked centre in the world : The Centre for Olympic Studies of the IOC (International Olympic Committee), at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
