On March 28th, 2007, CEB and DULBEA (Université Libre de Bruxelles), LARGE (Université de Strasbourg) and CREFI (Université de Luxembourg) had organized a research day on "Développements Récents de la Recherche en Economie et Gestion"

In November 2006, the 22th, the Centre Emile Bernheim and the European Microfinance Programme had organized a workshop with EMP students. For this event the CEB had received HRH Princess Mathilde of Belgium and Mr. Armand De Decker, Belgian Minister of Cooperation and Development.

In November 2006, the 17th, 4th day of collaboration between the Doctoral Programme in Management Sciences of Universié de Paris I - Panthéon - Sorbonne and Université Libre de Bruxelles. This day was organized at the Université ParisI-Panthéon-Sorbonne, in Paris. Programme

On November took place at the Université Libre de Bruxelles "Free Vision: Waste Valorisation and Management", organized by Estiem and Free Vision Brussels.

In October 2006, the 26th, the Thematic Doctoral School of Management Sciences was inaugurated in one of the magnificent halls of the Fondation Universitaire in Brussels. The School has been created as a partnership between the HEC-Ecole de gestion (ULg), the Warocqué Faculty (UMH) and the Solvay Business School (ULB). www.edtgestion.be

In June 2006, the 23th, the Centre Emile Bernheim and the DULBEA had organized the Workshop: "CENTRAL BANK INTERVENTIONS in the FX MARKETS: NEW DEVELOPMENTS"

In April 2006, the 24th, the Centre Emile Bernheim and the Solvay Business School had organized a "Journée d’Étude–Table ronde –débat" on the "Gestion stratégique de la valorisation des boues de dragage et de STEP". Programme - Minutes - Pictures

In March 2006, the 29th, took place the first ceremony closing of the European Microfinance Programme. Among the distinguished guests that attended the ceremony were HRH Princess Mathilde of Belgium and Mr. Armand De Decker, Belgian Minister of Cooperation and Development.

In August 2005, Prof. André Farber and Prof. Hugues Pirotte (CEB) organized the summer courses in Finance: "Microfoundations of Financial Economics". Programme

In December 2004, First day of collaboration between the Doctoral Programme in Management Sciences of Université de Paris I -Panthéon- Sorbonne and Université Libre de Bruxelles. Programme (in French)

In July 2004, "The Innovation and Intellectual Property, Economic and Managerial Perspectives" was organized in Singapore by the Applied Econometrics Association (AEA, Paris), INSEAD (Singapore), the IP Academy in Singapore and the CEB (Department of Technology Management).

In May 2004, the ninth meeting of the "Belgian Financial Research Forum" (BFFR) was organized in Brussels by the CEB Department of Finance.

The CEB Department of Marketing is building in 2004 the Euromarketing Research Center and the European Center of excellence in Art and Culture Marketing (ARTketing), with the financial help of the Centre Interuniversitaire de Management (CIM).

In 2004, the CEB Department of Financial History is benefiting from a PAI (Pôle d'Attraction Interuniversitaire) "Tournesol" grant financed by the French-Speaking Community of Belgium (CGRI) and the French CNRS to enhance collaboration at a high scientific level between Belgian and French research teams.

The "IVèmes Doctoriales d'Economie et de Finance Internationales", a meeting for Ph.D. students in International Economics and Finance, was held at CEB in December 2003.

The CEB Department of International Economics participated in 2003 in the organization of following workshops: "Competition policy in MENA countries", "Product Market Reform: Measuring the Micro and Macro economic impact", "International Network for Innovation Research (INIR)", and "Competition, Competition Policy and Economic Efficiency in the MENA Region".

The CEB Department of Strategy participates since 2002 in a PAI network coordinated by Prof. Mathias Dewatripont (ECARES and SBS, ULB).

In 2002, the CEB Department of Finance obtained from ULB a "distinguished scientist fellowship" in order to welcome Prof. Roland Gillet (University of Paris I- Panthéon- Sorbonne).

"The course is devoted to the positive and normative properties of various decision rules (voting, bargaining, Borda count among others). Starting with standard results in a deterministic set-up (Condorcet paradox, mmedian voter theorem), the course will then

focus on the properties of those rules in a stochastic framework."
