Solvay Brussels School - Economics & Management - News

François Koulischer, PhD student in Economics at Solvay Brussels School is one of the happy members of an all-belgian interuniversities (Louvain, Gent, Antwerp, Brussels) team who won, for the third consecutive year, the prestigious title of "world champion of diplomacy".

The team, also known as the MUN Society Belgium, competed in areas of diplomacy against 2260 students from 270 universities from more than 65 countries in the 20th edition of the World Model United Nations Conference (WorldMUN).

The Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants  and public about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda. The participants role-play as diplomats. This year, the winning team had to play the role of the United-States. They brilliantly confirmed their results of the previous years by winning for the third consecutive year and against such prestigious competitors as Yale, Columbia or Oxford.

Belgian diplomacy's future is in good hands!
