SBS Accreditations

The SBS holds the EQUIS accreditation

The EQUIS quality label has been granted to the SBS by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
Amongst business schools, EQUIS is the label of reference , that distinguishes the quality of teaching, pedagogy, innovation, research and relations with the corporate world. EQUIS gathers 82 business schools of international reputation, about 60 of which are European.The awarding of this international label of quality recognises the work achieved over the past years by the faculty members, assistants, researchers, students and the SBS personnel, as well as the support of the Advisory Board and the School’s corporate partners.

Thanks to the EQUIS accreditation, the SBS is entering a new phase in its development as an international business school.

The Solvay MBA is has been granted the AMBA accreditation by the awarding body of AMBA

the AMBA's objectives have been:

• To promote Masters level business education to institutions, prospective students and employers and to increase the supply of and demand for MBA programmes
• To ensure that the quality of Masters level business education produces professional business leaders

Professional training vouchers

Training vouchers can be obtained at the offices of the VDAB (Flemish Office for Employment and Professional Training). Vouchers may be accepted up to 2 months after the start of a training course or after sitting an exam or test.

Please note that theses vouchers are not available for all the SBS training programes. Contact our coordinators.

How?

Vouchers are accepted up to 2 months after beginning a training course or after sitting an exam or test. They can subsequently be used for a period of 14 months. The validity (start and end dates) is indicated on each voucher.

Please order your vouchers in good time, as the number of vouchers available is limited!
The VDAB has made an arrangement with the Accor company to issue the vouchers. You should therefore deal directly with Accor for the payment and reception of all vouchers. When you have received the vouchers, Accor will check to see that you fulfil all of the required conditions.

You can also obtain them by phoning 0800 30700 (weekdays from 8 to 20h), or by visiting your local Werkwinkel.

What they provide

The vouchers allow you to pay for training, advice relating to your professional development, or skills evaluation by an approved trainer. NB: Only direct costs such as registration fees, course material, exams and tests are reimbursed.
For each training course undertaken using a training voucher, the Flemish Government will subsidise half of the voucher. You must pay the other half.

Thus for vouchers with a nominal value of €5, €10 and €25 euros, you will pay from your own pocket €2.5, €5 and €12.5 respectively. You may purchase the equivalent of a maximum of €250 euros in training vouchers per calendar year. For example, imagine you wanted to follow a training course which has registration costs of €120.

You would then order training vouchers worth €120 (the total amount of the course). The Flemish Government would then pay half of this amount (€60and you would pay the remaining half (€60). You would give the voucher (worth €120) to pay the total registration costs.

Who is eligible for the vouchers?

All workers living in Flanders or the Brussels Capital Region may use Flemish Government training vouchers. Statutory civil servants and temporary workers are also eligible to use them.

Chèques-formation pour travailleurs

Vous pouvez demander des chèques-formation au VDAB (Office flamand de l’emploi et de la formation professionnelle). Les chèques peuvent être acceptés jusqu’à 2 mois après le début d’une formation ou la présentation d’un examen ou d’un test.

Attention ! Cette réduction ne s'adresse pas à toutes les formations de la SBS. Contactez nos coordinateurs.

Comment ?

Les chèques peuvent être acceptés jusqu’à 2 mois après le début d’une formation ou la présentation d’un examen ou d’un test. Vous pouvez ensuite les utiliser pendant 14 mois. La date de début et de fin figure sur le chèque.
Commandez vos chèques à temps, car ils sont limités.
Pour l'émission des chèques, le VDAB a conclu un contrat avec la société Accor. Vous réglez donc le paiement et la réception des chèques avec cette société. Une fois que vous avez accepté les chèques, le VDAB vérifie si vous remplissez les conditions requises.

Quoi ?

Les chèques vous permettent de payer une formation, des conseils relatifs à votre évolution professionnelle ou une évaluation de vos compétences auprès de formateurs agréés. Attention : Seuls les frais directs (inscription, matériel de cours, examens ou tests,…) sont remboursés.
Pour chaque formation payée à l’aide de chèques-formation, le Gouvernement flamand paie la moitié par chèque. Pour les chèques d’une valeur de 5, 10 et 25 euros, vous ne payez donc que 2,5, 5 et 12,5 euros de votre poche. Vous pouvez acheter l’équivalent de 250 euros maximum en chèques-formation par année calendrier. Exemple : vous voulez suivre une formation dont les frais d’inscription s’élèvent à 120 euros. Vous devez donc commander des chèques de la valeur de votre formation, à savoir 120 euros. Vu que le Gouvernement flamand paie la moitié, vous ne devrez payer que 60 euros. Vous payez donc vos frais d’inscription à l'aide de vos chèques-formation d'une valeur de 120 euros.

Pour qui ?

Tous les travailleurs qui habitent en Flandre ou dans la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale peuvent utiliser les chèques-formation du Gouvernement flamand. Les fonctionnaires statutaires et les travailleurs intérimaires entrent, eux aussi, en ligne de compte.
