The Solvay Summer School is a summer institute for talented students from all over the world, organized by our very own committed Master's students. 




The options aims to provide a tailored analysis of “Entrepreneurship and Technology” (full),  “Economics and Finance”, “International Business (Advanced)” or "Business Law" with half the course being given on the specific topics.

It develops students’ grasp of business,economics and policy issues and especially their interactions.


The program features classes, trips and activities designed to give students opportunities to learn about the business challenges across the European Union. The broad topic is called the European Challenges.  

During our summer school you will be attending lectures given by internationally recognized professors and researchers from different backgrounds, while getting a taste of what the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management is about.

This summer institute offers you the best opportunity to visit the capital of Europe and learn a bit more about the Belgian culture. You will be guided by the local students who will show you the must-see places of Brussels.

Admission requirements

This programme is mainly tailored for bachelor students. Participants are expected to be fluent in English.  

To be eligible for the Solvay Summer School program the participant must be officially enrolled in a School or a University of higher education. Students from the other Master of Science programs at the Graduate School are also eligible for the course, as well as additional qualified students.

Tuition fee

The price is of €950 (all included) or €875 for students that come from a partner university. Such a discount will end up after the 8th of May.

It is also possible to pay less if you only want to attend the courses and if you do not need to lodge in the student residence.

 The tuition fee includes for the package 1:

  • accommodation
  • courses and material
  • breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • numerous cultural activities

Early Tuition Fee

The Packages:

  • Package 1 : 950€
  • Package 2 : 620€
  • Package 3 : 450€

If you apply between the 7th of February and the 8th of May for Package 1 or 2, there will be an early bird discount – €75 for applications before May 8th and €150 for those before February 7th. As for Package 3, €60 will be discounted if you apply before the 8th of May and €120 before the 7th of February.

If your school is a partner institution of Solvay Brussels School, €75 will be discounted if you choose package 1 or 2, and €60 if you choose package 3. Anew, this is only applicable if you apply between the 7th of February and the 8th of May. 50 participants will have the chance to stay in a student residence next to the campus:

Cancellation Policy

An amount of €50 is non-refundable. 

If you cancel your participation at least 35 days before the start of the programme, you will be fully refunded except for the registration fee (€50).

Cancellations made at least 25 days before the programme starts will receive a 50% refund. 

If you cancel less than 25 days ahead the Solvay Summer School will not refund you.


Applicants who need a visa in order to enter Belgium will receive an Acceptance Letter which declares their registration.
