The Solvay European Summer School intends to equip students with the state-of-the-art knowledge and tools of the general manager operating in a European context. The programme features classes, trips, and activities designed to give students the opportunity to learn about European business challenges.

Our Summer School is a unique experience. It will enable you to acquire vast amounts of information and know-how regarding the current economic situation in Europe in an interactive way as well as discover the wonderful city of Brussels, the capital of Europe. In addition, it is a wonderful opportunity to build up an international network and to become a Solvay Alumni.

During the Solvay Summer School, you will be attending lectures given by internationally renowned professors and researchers from different backgrounds, while getting a taste of what Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management is about.

Aside from the learning experience, it is important to mention that the Solvay Summer School is organized by students for students. It means that you will get the opportunity to experience real Belgian student life and culture. In addition to the lectures, visits and excursions are planned during the week.

Admission requirements

This programme is mainly tailored for master  and post graduate students. Participants are expected to be fluent in English.  

To be eligible for the Solvay Summer School programme the participant must be officially enrolled in a School or a University of higher education. Students from the other Master of Science programs at the Graduate School are also eligible for the course, as well as additional qualified students.

Early Tuition Fee

- Early Bird: book before February 1st, 2019 and get a discount of €90 on Explorer and Wanderer packs and a reduction of €50 on Essentialist pack.

- Member of a partner university? Benefit from a €65 discount Explorer and Wanderer packs and a €50 discount on Essentialist pack. This promotion is valid for the duration of the registration period and can be combined with the Early Bird offer.

50 participants will have the chance to stay in a student residence next to the campus:

Cancellation Policy

An amount of €50 is non-refundable. 

If you cancel your participation at least 35 days before the start of the programme, you will be fully refunded except for the registration fee (€50).

Cancellations made at least 25 days before the programme starts will receive a 50% refund. 

If you cancel less than 25 days ahead the Solvay Summer School will not refund you.


Applicants who need a visa in order to enter Belgium will receive an Acceptance Letter which declares their registration.
