Back to Master in Business and Technology

Admission criteria

language requirements

As all parts of this programme are taught in English and students must write their thesis in English, proficiency in the English language is naturally an important prerequisite. This will be assessed by the Admissions Board, based on the application file. In this context, international language tests are highly recommended.

Curriculum requirements

The “Handelsingenieur” and “Ingénieur de Gestion” programmes distinguish themselves from most management degrees because  students are exposed to many different subject areas. Students therefore need a solid background in a number of fields. Thus, even though the “scientific” courses of our master’s programme are more technology-oriented, an academic background that includes natural sciences such as physics and chemistry is essential.

Direct admission:

Candidates with a Belgian university degree of “Bachelor in de toegepaste economische wetenschappen: Handelsingenieur” or “Bachelier en Ingéniorat de Gestion” will be granted direct admission after your English proficiency is checked. In order to have your English proficiency checked please bring your transcript or programme description to the attention of the Programme Directors ULB/VUB (mbt [at] vub [dot] ac [dot] be).
