Tedx ULB: a successful first edition!

Solvay Brussels School - Economics & Management - News

Created in 1984, TED is a nonprofit organisation devoted to ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’. Starting as a conference about technology, entertainment and design it has grown very fast to become an important force of change throughout the world.

TEDx are independently organised TED events that are meant to assemble people from all around the world and thus create a community of motivated change-makers for more than 30 years already.

In July 2014, a devoted team of five young students of the Advanced Masters from Solvay Brussels School decided to organise the first ever held TEDxULB – “Ready for Change?” in order to introduce the phenomenon to a new thirsty-to-learn generation. Given the wide range of subjects at ULB, the team decided to offer to its audience a wide portfolio of speakers all coming from diverse horizons. From business to politics and science to creativity, there was something for everyone.
