Georg Kirchsteiger is a Professor of Microeconomics at the ECARES, SBS-EM, ULB. He received his PhD from the University of Vienna in 1993. Before he moved to Brussels, he worked at the universities of Vienna, Tilburg, and Maastricht. His research interests are in the fields of behavioral economics, experimental economics, game theory, and industrial economics. He published in leading journals in economics like Econometrica, Quarterly Journal of Economics, and Review of Economic Studies. In 2000, he received the Hicks-Tinbergen Medal of the European Economic Association (with Ernst Fehr and Arno Riedl). He teaches graduate microeconomics, behavioral economics, and game theory.
