Insight into the community outreach of Laurent Hublet

Laurent Hublet is the Deputy Dean for Lifelong Learning and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Solvay Lifelong Learning. He is an Adjunct Professor, teaching leadership (management & philosophy). Laurent is the co-founder & CEO of BeCentral, one of the largest digital campuses in Europe. He is a columnist in L’Echo, Belgium’s leading business newspaper.

Laurent holds an MBA (Columbia Business School in New York), an MA in Philosophy (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and a MSc in Business Engineering (Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management).

  • Co-Founder and Managing Director of BeCentral : a digital campus located in Brussels Central Station. BeCentral hosts 60 different tech schools, start-ups and tech-related NGOs. BeCentral is home to more than 700 tech learners and 400 entrepreneurs.
  • Until early 2018, Laurent was an advisor to Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister A. De Croo, and he was in charge of Digital Belgium, the digital strategy of the Belgian Government.
